A fact sheet prepared by the Center for Political and Development Studies revealed that children in Gaza are facing a systematic genocide.
According to the report, the number of child martyrs has exceeded 17,000, with over 33,900 injured. Around 4,000 children are reported missing, many still trapped under the rubble. The number of orphans has risen to more than 40,000, marking one of the deadliest assaults on children in modern history.
The report also highlighted the widespread prevalence of severe psychological disorders among Gaza’s children. Nearly half suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), while tens of thousands experience symptoms such as nightmares, bedwetting, mutism, and aggressive behavior. A report by War Child revealed that 96% of children now feel that death is imminent.
The fact sheet concluded with an urgent appeal to the international community, calling for the immediate and permanent opening of humanitarian corridors and the implementation of an emergency plan to support mental health and alternative education.
