President Mahmoud Abbas said that ending the division and building partnerships is a strategic choice made by Fatah, one that it will not back down from. He stressed that Fatah is committed to the agreements that took place in Istanbul, Doha, Beirut and Damascus; the outcomes of the factions’ secretaries; and Istanbul talks. He also stressed is unconditional commitment to building national partnership through Legislative Council elections, presidential elections and national council elections. He urged Jibril Rajoub, member in Fatah’s central committee, and the movement’s delegation members to continue a bilateral dialogue based on what had been agreed on. He also urged the national factions to choose the interest of the country over other interest since it is the only road that helps achieve sovereignty and independence in the state of Palestine with Al-Quds as its capital.
