The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club announced the martyrdom of Palestinian prisoner Samir Al-Rifai (53 years old) in Israeli occupation prisons.

They explained that Al-Rifai, a married father of five, was arrested from his home on July 10. He had suffered from heart problems prior to his arrest and required ongoing medical care.

With his death, the number of detainees and prisoners who have died since the start of the genocide war rises to 74 — those whose identities have been confirmed — amid ongoing enforced disappearance. This brings the known number of prisoner martyrs since 1967 to 311.
