The Israeli occupation army has decided to exclude Gaza City from what it calls a “local tactical truce,” set to begin at 10 a.m., describing it as a “dangerous combat zone.”
Israeli reports noted that the decision came amid preparations for a large-scale ground invasion in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the “Gideon’s Chariots 2” operation, through which the occupation seeks to take control of Gaza City.
It claimed that it “will continue to support humanitarian efforts in parallel with ongoing incursions and offensive operations against armed groups,” alleging that these steps aim to “protect the security of Israeli citizens.”
According to the occupation’s claims, this so-called “truce” was supposed to include Gaza City, central Gaza refugee camps, and the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in the south. However, the occupation continued to target these areas, resulting in hundreds of martyrs.
