The Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed that Chief of Staff of the occupation army, Eyal Zamir, insists on his instructions to advance on the ground in the Gaza Strip slowly and cautiously, accompanied by waves of heavy bombardment, in order to reduce risks to soldiers, despite political pressure demanding a faster operation.
Haaretz confirmed that the army does not observe any signs of collapse within Hamas or a loss of willingness to fight, noting that its difficulty lies in military capabilities rather than determination.
The newspaper explained that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again succeeded in securing Trump’s support, as in previous instances this year. However, if the military operation does not proceed at the pace expected by the White House, new tensions may arise between the two sides.
