The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al-Ansari, confirmed that the occupation government has not yet provided any response to the latest proposal regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing that its plans to occupy Gaza place everyone under a direct threat, including the hostages.
Al-Ansari pointed out that the situation has become clear to the international community, which must adopt a firm position to stop Israel, noting that any talk of a peace process at this stage is futile in the absence of an Israeli side that is ready or willing to engage in such a process.
Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the occupation army will begin today recruiting 60,000 reserve soldiers as part of preparations to occupy Gaza City and impose a comprehensive siege on it.
