The Palestinian Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Commission revealed severe detention conditions and treatment described as “extremely harsh” for prisoners in the “Ofer” camp, including medical neglect, physical assaults, and daily room raids.
The commission’s lawyer reported that the Israeli doctor often arrives hours late, and sometimes does not show up at all when a sick prisoner needs medical attention.
Prisoners are beaten and taken out of their cells in restraints for hours. Food is scarce, hygiene is at its lowest levels, and they are deprived of sleep.
