Five Palestinians, including two children, were killed and others injured after Israeli forces bombed the tents of displaced people west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, explained that the civilians who were killed were not inside a combat zone, but in a shelter camp where displaced families had taken refuge, following earlier instructions that designated it as a “safe” area.

Israeli naval forces also arrested four Palestinian fishermen off the coast west of Gaza City and took them to an unknown location.

Journalistic sources reported that Israeli artillery shelled areas inside the “Yellow Line” east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, and that Israeli tanks carried out heavy gunfire in those areas.

Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike on areas inside the “Yellow Line” in northern Gaza, as Israeli forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings in the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City.
