A powerful weather depression has flooded thousands of tents sheltering displaced people in Gaza due to heavy rainfall.

Gaza Municipality explained that its capacity to drain water has drastically decreased after the destruction of 90% of its water pumps by Israeli forces, along with extensive damage to infrastructure and massive debris blocking water flow.

Civil Defense also warned of a serious risk to displacement camps and structurally compromised buildings, with a possibility of casualties. Urgent calls were made to allow the entry of fuel and tents into the besieged Strip.
