Fourteen Palestinians, including three children, were killed and others injured over the past 24 hours due to the collapse of homes and tents caused by Storm “Biron,” which has been affecting the region for the third consecutive day. The tents of displaced families reached catastrophic levels.
According to a source in emergency services, five people were killed and others injured when a house collapsed in Beir al-Najjah in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, one person died and others were injured when a wall collapsed on the tents of displaced families west of Gaza City. Two children were injured after their tent collapsed in the northern Gaza Strip, and an infant was killed in the displaced families’ tents in Mawasi, Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
Displaced families endured a harsh and difficult night amid cold, rain, and strong winds, which led to the complete flooding of tents.
