Rafah Crossing Reopening Plan

Israel's Channel 12 reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a security meeting next Sunday, upon his return from a diplomatic visit to the United States, to discuss the reopening of the Rafah land crossing.

According to informed sources, discussions with the U.S. administration regarding the reopening of Rafah are part of the transition to the "second phase" of the war-ending agreement. The new plan includes strict control mechanisms, as the Israeli army intends to establish inspection points on the Palestinian side of the crossing, supported by advanced technological tools to monitor the movement of individuals.

Under the plan, Rafah Crossing will be designated for the passage of individuals only, while goods will continue to be transferred through the "Kerem Abu Salem" crossing. Although inspection duties will be delegated to Egyptian and international officials, Israel insists on checking the identities of entrants itself using direct monitoring systems.
