Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty stated that Cairo is moving on all fronts to ensure the implementation of the requirements of the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip, following the rapid completion of the first phase.

Abdel Aaty emphasized, during a joint press conference with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, the necessity of opening the Rafah crossing in both directions and accelerating the deployment of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip to help monitor the ceasefire. He also reiterated Egypt’s rejection of any attempts aimed at entrenching the separation between Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
