The spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al-Ansari, announced that Qatar is working closely with its partners to accelerate the move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Ansari explained that there are currently no specific timelines for transitioning to the second phase, but efforts are ongoing to overcome the obstacles. Regarding the delay in moving to the second phase, he directed the question to the Israeli government, saying: “The question of why the transition to the second phase has not taken place should be answered by the Israeli government.”
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed Qatar’s firm position rejecting the use of humanitarian aid as a “pressure tool,” and called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard.
