Haartz newspaper confirmed that the annexation plan is already being executed in the occupied West Bank. The occupation is already implementing large-scale settlement projects and has more others in store for future implementation. The newspaper reported that the annexation did not stop after the UAE and Bahrain had signed the normalization agreements. It also reported that there are projects for the development of the infrastructure; including the building of roads and expansion of others that connect the occupied lands of 1948 and 1967. These roads are to serve the interests of the settlers. This is another step on the path of expanding the settlements surrounding these roads.
The newspaper explained how the so-called Ministry of Transportation had set a plan to connect the roads and transportation network for the settlers in the West Bank; this project will be carried by 2045 should the occupation’s government approve it. The main purpose is to bring in 1,000,000 Israeli settlers to live in the West Bank’s settlements in a decade and a half. According to Al-Quds newspaper, 401 donums of the Palestinian lands were confiscated to allow the building of a bypass road near Al-Aroub in Hebron; and 406 others were confiscated near Huwara for the same purpose. This project has had a great impact on the lives of many Palestinians whose lands were confiscated.
