Dec 12, 2020 03:16 pm

Abdul Nasser Halawa, 56 from Nablus, was martyred after being wounded by the Israeli occupation forces which had shot at him at Qalandia checkpoint four months ago. Halawa was both deaf and mute.

The Martyr’s family said that Abdul Nasser was discharged from Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Al-Quds 3 weeks ago despite his unstable health condition. Anwar, the martyr’s brother, said that the family requested keeping him in the hospital, but they refused.

Anwar explained how his family contacted several organizations, including human rights organizations, but it was all fruitless. He said that Abdul Nasser’s health condition deteriorated in his final days. He was unable to move and lost his appetite.

Anwar stressed that his family will file a lawsuit against those responsible for the shooting and the intentional medical negligence.
