Khalid Nofal, 34 from Ras Karkar in west Ramallah, was shot by a settler at Rasan Mountain near the village.
Radi Abu Fakhida, the Head of the village Council, said that the occupation forces informed the parents of Khalid of the martyrdom of their son but withheld his body.
He also said that the forces broke into the area, and grabbed his father, Maher, and brother, Mohammed, taking them to the location of Khalid’s martyrdom so they would see his belongings and trace of blood.
Sources from the village said that the martyr was near Rasan Mountain which was recently confiscated and where Sadeh Ephraim settlement was established. Khalid, married with a 4-year-old child, was shot dead by a settler.
The occupation forces’ spokesperson claimed that a Palestinian drove his car to Ephraim settlemetn and tried to sneak into one of the houses. A fight started between the Palestinian and some settlers. One of the guards shot him leading to his immediate martyrdom.
