An 'Israeli' report revealed to the Center of Middle East Policy that the UAE and Bahrain reduced the financial grant to the UNRWA.

Channel 12 reported that the financial support to the UNRWA was slashed after the normalization agreements were concluded with the occupation, especially in 2020.

The same report showed that the UAE donated $53 million to the UNRWA in 2018 and $51 million in 2019, but in 2020 the UAE gave the agency $1 million only.

Matthias Schmale, Director of the UNRWA Operations in Gaza, said during a press conference held in the UNRWA headquarter in Gaza that some states, capitals and Zionist organizations were working to terminate UNRWA's work through publishing false information and circulating facts out of their true context.
