The ‘Israeli’ Walla website said in a report translated by the local Shehab news agency that General Itzik Turgeman has made a training plan for the occupation’s army that simulates battles at different fronts simultaneously to be implemented next summer.
The website said that the plan is based on how to maintain logistic support provided to the land forces that are maneuvering behind the ‘enemy’ lines, and test their capability for surviving 72 hours without supplies.
The report pointed to how this plan will help fix any problems and bridge the gaps that were faced during the second Lebanese war. High-profile officials said that the major challenge was having the capacity to evacuate the injured and dead from the battlefield, provide treatment to the wounded and establish medical clinics in the field.
The website said that the tension that filled the atmosphere in the northern area last year reflected the need for giving the Galilee unit under Shlomi Binder leadership the necessary equipment to deal with the logistic-support challenges. There are concerns over Hezbollah targeting the supplies which would force them to take other turns to deliver them.
