The CDA stated that the prisoners in Ofer closed down the entire divisions upon the decision of the prisoners' leaders and representatives. The closure was in response to the brutal incursion carried out by the oppressive Israeli special units (Masada, Yamam and Durar) of Division 16 and to assaulting the prisoners.

The CDA said that the prisoners stayed in their rooms, and refused to go to the playground or cafeteria, and that the protest would continue until the prisons' administration quits its racist policies against the prisoners.

It also reported that minors were also attacked as 8 children were assaulted after being transported to Ofer from Megiddo prison. The minors were beaten and insulted.
