The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, said that a UN delegation visited the prisoner Bassam Al-Saadi in the Israeli "Ofer" prison.

This visit comes to follow up with the commitments of the United Nations to maintain calm in Gaza. He did not address Al-Saadi's health status, nor the conditions of his detention in prison.
