Knesset Member Tsvi Fogel said that the Israeli occupation of the West Bank is "permanent" and that the occupation has the "right" to annex areas in the occupied West Bank.

Fogel's remarks come after the United Nations General Assembly approved by majority a request for a legal opinion from the International Court of Justice on the legality of the occupation in the Palestinian territories.

He hopes that the occupation "will be able to defend his rights in places where he is allowed to annex and settle"
