Israeli occupation forces transferred 70 Palestinian prisoners to the strict isolation section of Nafha prison, as a part of a scheme to disperse prisoners and break up positions of force within the various organizations of the Prisoner Movement.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz said that movements between prisons and various sections would involve 2,000 prisoners, including leaders of the Prisoner National Movement. The newspaper reported that an official in the administration of the occupation prisons said that this scheme was put in place before Ben Gvir took over the Ministry of "National Security", indicating that Ben Gvir’s appointment was a support and motivation for the launch of the scheme now.
The occupation scheme includes the dispersal of prisoners in the new sections built in Nafha prison, Ofer prison, as well as in Gilboa prison, whose lower part was renovated and reinforced with concrete, after Operation "Tunnel of Freedom".
