U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib expressed anger regarding the US Embassy construction plan in the near future in the occupied Al-Quds.
"I'm outraged that the U.S Department t is moving forward with plans to build the U.S. embassy in Al-Quds on stolen land from Palestinians. By doing so, the U.S. is complicit in the illegal confiscation of Palestinian property," she wrote. "The U.S. should reverse this Trump era policy immediately."
In 2017, former US President Donald Trump announced his recognition of Al-Quds as the capital of "Israel" and his intention to move his country's embassy to it. In November 2022, the so-called "Israeli Planning and Building Committee" approved the final plan to build the new US embassy compound in Al-Quds.
