Tension in Occupation Prisons: Mass Isolation of Prisoners in Negev Prison

Feb 03, 2023 12:43 pm

According to Palestinian institutions and associations dealing with prisoners' affairs, tensions persist in Israeli prisons, following arbitrary measures and penalties imposed by the prison administration.

Israeli occupation prisons are in a state of tension for the third day because of the Prisoner Movement's response to the arbitrary measures and their rejection of the restrictions that the administration of the occupation prisons is trying to impose on them, namely the return of breakfast meals and the rejection to undergo the so-called "security check".

In a statement, the Prisoners' Club stated that the Prison Department continued to impose mass isolation on prisoners in sections 26 and 27, as well as in section 6 of Negev Prison. A number of female prisoners were also beaten in Damon prison, sprayed with tear gas and pepper and repressed in several prisons.
