The European Union announced to provide the Palestinians with a a financial assistance of 296 million euros, stating that it would support the disbursement of social affairs allocations to poor families in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

An amount of 114.2 million euro would be allocated for the salaries and pensions of the PA employees, social allowances to vulnerable families and medical transfers to occupied Al-Quds hospitals. 30 million euro would also be allocated to increase the volume of drinking water in Gaza, while the remainder would be distributed to projects, educational and health needs of Al-Quds, infrastructure in the area of the West Bank and support for the Palestinian heritage to empower the Palestinian economy.
