In order to demand the release of the ill prisoner Walid Daqqa and an end to the solitary confinement of all prisoners, prisoners in all Israeli occupation prisons are engaging in a one-day hunger strike today, Monday.
The Supreme Emergency Committee for the Prisoners Movement stated that the most recent round of escalation in Gaza, which started as advocacy for the hunger-striking martyr prisoner, Shaikh Khader Adnan, strengthened the prisoner's resolve to confront the jailer. This is implemented through the widespread preparation of the administrative prisoners' hunger strike, which demands an end to the needless wasting of the lives of prisoners who are being held without charge or trial.
The movement also urged all liberties and institutions around the world to exert all possible pressure to release Walid Daqqa before it was too late. This must happen as soon as possible, before we lose him the same way we lost Khader Adnan and the other martyrs of the prisoners' movement.
