A number of Palestinian detainees in the Israeli prisons under occupation began to demonstrate against the management of the Israeli Prison Service by refusing administrative detention.
The Handzala Center, which focuses on prisoner issues, reported that 16 inmates took action to leave their cells on Thursday morning in protest against the administrative detention regime in the Ofer prison.
In a show of defiance against the jail Service administration and the oppressive measures it is employing against the inmates, the detainees have decided to postpone entering the jail on Saturday, while two meals will be served to all inmates on Sunday.
It is interesting that the Law on the Early Release of administrative Palestinian Prisoners, which was amended last Sunday by Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
