Waed Captive and Liberators Society said in a press release that the Israeli occupation refused to allow the two wounded prisoners Israa Al-Ja’abis, 36, and Amal Taqatqa, 26, to go under surgery despite their immediate need for the operations. Al-Ja’abis was arrested on October 11, 2015, while driving her car. She was accused of attempting to carry out an explosion operation with her car. She was severely burned after the fire broke out in her car. Al-Ja’abis denied the occupation’s claims and said that her car had broken down hence the firebreak. The mother of one child was sentenced 11 years in prison. Prisoner Amal Taqatqa was arrested in December, 2014, after the soldiers had shot her claiming she was about to carry out a stabbing. She was shot with six bullets in the chest, waist, hand, and left foot. One of the bullets stayed in her chest threatening her life. She needs an operation to remove the platinum in her injured leg. She was sentenced 7 years in jail.
