The Israeli prison authorities have released Ahmad Manasra, a young Palestinian from Jerusalem, from Nafha Prison after serving 10 years behind bars. He was initially arrested at the age of 13 and endured various forms of physical and psychological torture throughout his imprisonment.
Lawyer Amjad Abu Asab reported that prison authorities deliberately released Manasra far from the prison gate, where his family was waiting to receive him. A Bedouin man from the Negev region found him and contacted his family to inform them of his release.
Local sources revealed that the Israeli occupation imposed strict conditions on Manasra’s family, including banning any public celebrations, limiting visits to immediate family living in the same building, and prohibiting journalists from conducting interviews with him at this stage.
