49 Journalists Held in Israeli Prisons Since the Start of the War on Gaza

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club has reported that the Israeli occupation is currently detaining 49 journalists in its prisons since the beginning of its genocidal war on the people of Gaza.

According to the Club, Israeli forces have arrested and detained a total of 177 journalists, keeping 49 of them in custody.

It stated that the Israeli government continues to escalate its systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists through mass arrests, daily assaults during news coverage, and the ongoing killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip.

The Club added that 19 journalists have been placed under administrative detention in the occupied West Bank, with the latest orders issued against journalists Samer Khuwaira and Ibrahim Abu Safiya.
